Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture is a treatment that promotes a healthy, younger looking face while advancing an overall healthy body and lifestyle. Through facial acupuncture, blood circulation and collagen production may be stimulated. As a result, facial muscles become firmer, puffiness is reduced, wrinkles and age spots decrease, and moisture returns. In addition to looking healthier, you will feel more energy and vitality.

The traditional philosophy behind acupuncture also applies to facial acupuncture. There are many acupuncture points in the face and body that affect the Qi or energy flow of the body. When these points are stimulated, one’s Qi is balanced and energy flows through the medians of the face and body. The aligned Qi internally creates a healthy appearance externally.

Unlike its quick-fix counterparts, including plastic surgery and botox injections, facial acupuncture is a safe, natural way to revitalize your face. Let your inner beauty and health be reflected in a younger looking face!

What do the treatments entail?

Your initial visit will include a discussion of your medical history and current lifestyle. Discussion of physical, mental, and emotional well-being is all in included in this visit. During the subsequent visits, needles are inserted in the face, ears, and neck. You will relax with these needles for about 30 minutes.

What is the cost?

Each visit, after the initial intake appointment, will cost $150. For best results, appointments are scheduled twice a week for five weeks. Subsequent visits may be needed to maintain the look of vitality and youth achieved during the procedure. We recommend 3 monthly and then seasonal treatments to maintain results.

Who makes a good candidate?

If you have ever considered plastic surgery for the affects but are hesitant about the procedure, facial acupuncture may be the answer. People between the ages of 45 and 70 will see the most dramatic results.

Facial acupuncture addresses more than just the effects of aging. Whether you are concerned about acne, wrinkles, psoriases, large pores, dryness or discoloration, facial acupuncture may benefit you.

What effects can I expect?

Understand that facial acupuncture is a different treatment from surgical procedures. Therefore, the effects will be different. Facial acupuncture will not change the shape of your face like surgical methods do. Facial acupuncture is a treatment to promote health for the whole body, which will be reflected in the face.

Because we also treat the whole body, other health concerns can be addressed during the course of treatment. Facial acupuncture is a total body and health protocol. Consider the condition your skin is in when you first undergo treatment. Know your specific expectations for the treatment and know that results may vary with each individual.

What else is involved?

Overall health is reflected in your face. Therefore, eating healthy foods, enjoying a detox regimen, and exercising will enhance the facial acupuncture treatments. Habits that include smoking, sun tanning, and excessive drinking may inhibit the results of facial acupuncture. We may recommend herbs and nutritional supplements to further balance your health.
